She's my favourite too! Has been ever since I saw the Saffron Gym episodes of the anime, way back when I was a kid. And of course, Alakazam is my favourite Pokemon.

Indeed, and it paints an interesting contrast to her game personality. As you get to see in the Johto remakes, there's an implication she's annoyed by that 'creepy' tag people give her, and she really wants friends.
