Thank you! A little of both. I caught this one in a cemetery during a birding event and crept up on him using a gravestone as cover. I was probably two or three feet from him.

It's definitely something that takes a lot of practice and causes no shortage of knee/back pain later on.

I think the part that gives me the most trouble is avoiding stepping on twigs which will scare things away.

I can imagine that crouching and doing other things to get great pictures could cause a lot of pain immediately and later on.

That's one reason I try not to wear shoes if I don't have to.
