Cloud smiled a little bit, looking at the beautiful woman standing infront of him. She smiled at him in her sweet sort of way, her green eyes being a strange comfort. She walked towards him and smiled, "Hey Cloud. How are you?" she asked, his voice like a mother's song, and just as soothing. Cloud tilted his head a little, "I.. I guess its all right for now. Sephiroth's gone."

"I see. Thats good to know, you fought like a real hero, Cloud. In that final battle, I mean.." She explained, using her piano fingers to pull some brown hair behind her ear. She looked so strange without her pink ribbon to tie her hair back. The blondie smiled and closed his eyes, "Thanks, Aer." he said.

"But Cloud... may I ask you something first?"

"Hm, oh sure Aer."

"Why...?"

"Hm?"

"Why did you not stop Sephiroth when he killed me?" she asked, her voice now sickly sweet. Cloud opened his eyes, nervous to answer. She looked at him questioningly. "Hm?" she asked, her eyes searching for the truth in the being infront of her. Cloud almost took a step back, "I...I didn't see him in time Aer..... swear." he lied.

"Lies." she said, twirling some of her loose hair in her fingers. "You let me die. You're guilty and you know it don't you."

"Thats a lie, Aer!" Cloud objected, "I-"

"No, I'm not a liar. You are. You saw Sephiroth, but by the time you acted, I was dead on the floor. Don't you remember? All the beautiful blood in my dirty hair? All the tears you shed, and the smile on my lips? Have you forgotten me?" she asked, using one finger to trail down Cloud's neck and chin. Cloud pulled away, "Aer! You know I tried! I..."

"I'll take it from here, Chocobo."

Cloud turned, his blonde hair swirling as he did so. A black haired man stood behind him with a bright smile on his face. "Hey, how you doing, Cloud?" he asked cheerily. The blonde looked a bit dumbfounded, "Zack?" he asked.

The man smiled. But.... his smile. Something was off about Zack...

The man smiled at Cloud comfortingly, like he would usually. Before Cloud could smile back, his Buster Sword flew at him, the blonde finding a narrow escape and got his shoulder swiped at. Cloud landed on the floor, his foot landing funny and making it hard to move again. Zack put his hands on his waist.

"Man did you get weak~" he cooed, shaking his head. Cloud looked up at them. These couldn't possibley be Aerith and Zack!! There wasn't a way! Aerith smiled at him again, her green eyes flashing. "You know you can't protect anyone, so why do you even try?"

"Shut up!!"

"You left us to die-"

"NO!"

"All of the lies-"

"SHUT UP!!"

"Good to see you Again, Cloud."

Cloud's azure eyes snapped open immedetly, feeling something next to his ear.. breath? he tried to turn his head to look but a hand held his chin and head in place. Cloud was frozen, shuddering in fear and pain somewhat. Someone chuckeled behind him, Cloud could almost hear him smirking. "Heh.. like my pretty puppets?" the person asked.

"No!! They're horrible and sick!!"

"Oh? How so? I think they're only telling you the truth, Cloud. You know, if you had never showed your face, Aerith would never have died. If you hadn't gone on that mission with Zack, you wouldn't be feeling the pain thats present right now would you?" the man said. Cloud twisted his body, trying to get loose from the man behind him. The hand moved from his chin to his upper arm, gripping the skin tightly and smirking. "How does that feel?"

Cloud screamed, twisted and thrashing his body. The grip on his arm tightened bone crushingly hard, the blonde feeling tears well in his eyes. He tossed his head, kicking and pulling at the man's arm to let it loose. When Cloud caught a glimpse of his arm, it was extremley painfull.

Once the man thought Cloud had enough, he let go. Cloud looked at his arm, eyes widening. Stigma!? The blonde scrambeled up while he had the chance and found Sephiroth sitting on the ground where he had been. The silverette stood up and smirked.

"So, my puppet thinks it has a mind of it's own? Ridiculous."

Cloud turned and started running off. The blonde ran into the white end of this dream, the part of the scene that faded white, the back of the church. When Cloud noticed Sephiroth wasn't following, he looked back. Sephiroth was... smiling? The blonde ignored it, running as fast as he could. After a few seconds, he bumbed into something. He looked up to have his arm and wrist grabbed again.

He was held in place as Sephiroth smirked down on him. "You really think you can escape? Face facts, stupid blonde. You're just like them... a puppet of mine. Must I tie strings to show you so?" he asked.

Cloud looked literally frozen in fear, his blue eyes wide. Sephiroth smirked again, his eyes flashing. He looked at Cloud in the eyes, his eyes like slits. "Should I prove we are connected?"

Cloud screamed again. "NOOOO!!"

Sephiroth couldn't help but smile, gripping Cloud's chin again and resting his own on the blonde's shoulder. "Oh, don't deny it Cloud. You are a puppet.." he smirked, gripping Cloud's arm again, the stigma immedetly reacting.

"Just like them."

"AHHHH!!!!"

"Such a beautiful puppet."

"NOOO!!! AHH!!!"

"A puppet without a mind of its own. A slave of his own master."

"GAHHHH!!!"
