I have a horribly skewed sense of time, so I always end up getting to school about half an hour before class starts. On the bright side, it gives me time to doodle. This here started out as a notebook doodle before my Early Republic class started. Had intended to draw something else entirely, but whaddaya know, this fella showed up. And, of course, in the interest of killing time, just kept getting more and more of an outfit.In any case, brought it home, scanned it, retraced it in Photoshop, and then spent a couple of hours unwinding with the coloring. Which explains why he's bi-colored. Annnnnd he's still in need of a name. Yep, this poor lil' satyr's currently nameless. Any suggestions?

i really like how he's got two colors on his fur. very neat. the ear cap and earing is another good addition. goes well with his golden eyes and the other gold accents he has. i think the background would look more realistic if there was a little bit of black or dark color in the bushes. i like the blurry smeared color of the dirt road. i don't think the white border is necessary though.
getting to class early is much better than getting to class late. and it results in neat drawings. all praise your skewed sense of time. hurrahh!

For some weird reason, the name Rick popped into my head, which is a really sucky name, but once it pops into my head it stays! Ahahaha! Sorry 'bout that.

Thanks! Yep, it's a satyr. They're actually from Greek mythology - half men/half goat. Mine's based off that, with a nice patched pattern on his goat half rather than some solid color.
