Aha... it has been so long since I've drawn most of these characters - something like 3-4 years, in some cases (you can see those sketches in my scraps). I figured it was about time to tweak some of their designs a bit. Whether the tweaks actually stick remains to be seen.

Medan has always been kinda weird - it all started with a dream when I was in high school that gave me the main character and inciting incident, and then all these other characters just started showing up, saying, "Hi! I'm so-and-so, and this is my back story. Now, figure out how I fit in Medan!"

Yeeeah, I still haven't completely figured it out... but I'm getting closer! Anyways, these guys are:

Rothey (top left) - the current Knight of Silvestry. Fairly serious guy, but that's generally something you want in the person charged with keeping you alive. Only minor tweaks on him, like his shirt style, his boots, gloves, and knee thingies.

Piper (top middle) - Rothey's childhood friend. As per Medani elf tradition, he has a tattoo on his left cheek signifying that he's been trained as a musician since childhood. Used to be just a big triangle, but I swapped that out for a bass clef. That's pretty much the biggest change on Piper, other than the fact that he looks less effeminate here than he used to.

Faolan (top right) - orphan half-breed. He has a charm that allows him to turn human, but this is his natural form. I think all I did to him was make his hair look a little more ruffled.

Onan (middle left) - one of my naga warriors, and probably the one character here my watchers might actually recognize. Yeeeah, I didn't change his design at all, but he can be a bit of a prima donna and insisted on being here.

Raash (dead center) - former Knight of Silvestry. Only thing I changed on him were the clothes, which wouldn't be important except that, being a ghost most of the time, his clothes don't really change.

Trev (bottom left) - the centaur. I tweaked his outfit quite a bit, added gloves, got rid of those weird strappy things... and, of course, changed his hair from those DBZ-ish spikes he had going so that he's in the same style as the others.

Cait (bottom middle) - human girl. Until Rain arrives, she's the only one who can see Raash, much to her unending joy. I just played around with her outfit, since I'm playing with the idea of making it entirely set in Medan.

Rain (bottom right) - I wanted to change his hair, mainly because waaaay back when I first created him, he had the exact same hair style as Raash... which I don't like doing, and since I love how Raash looks, Rain had to change. This hair style makes it look like he's just kinda let it go without a trim for awhile... I might play around with it some more.

Anyways, colored sketches, but I figure I spent enough time on them to justify putting them in my main gallery. Sketches done in Manga Studio, color done in Photoshop
