lineart: [link]LOL i posted this lineart way back in may o__o i finally got un-lazy and got the colored version into my computer. btw, this is a photo of the actual painting (i also scanned it in twice and pieced it together but the scanner totally messed up all the colors so i stuck with the photo) mmm, bad thing about photo though: the left side is kind of darkened due to the lighting in my house and 'cause the actual watercolor paper got all bent-ish. i fixed it up the best i could =/
neh, i know i'm not good with watercolors. i barely know any techniques or whatnot... but i worked hard on this, so i hope you people will enjoy it. =/
mistakes: hair too puffy *sigh* weapons look flat (lol orz, but i like weapons in general) and other little stuff
likes: i like how the color of her hair came out. rofl. she's crazy to have pink, blue, and purple hair. puahahaha!
and i like how the blending turned out in the background

Her hair is so detailed, and I love how you've done the folds on the lower part of her skirt. I don't care if you say you're not that great with watercolours, I think it's been coloured brilliantly, it gives it texture

As you can tell I really love that you did it with watercolors. I love the colors you used, too...the pinks and purples and stuff, in vibrant yet subdued shades/tones....I dunno, I just really like the color scheme of it all. ^^
I like the outfit a lot. The overall design of it is very cool and very creative, and I like the details on it, like the flower printing on the bottom of it, and the jewelry hanging from the shoulders/upper arms. ^^ Also, the weapons are soooooo cool. Very creative design there, too.
The hair is really beautiful, too. I love how it's all in motion all around her...It really complements the fierce battle action pose of the pic. Also, I love the colors on it, and how it's not all just the same color, but the different strands of hair have different shades of purple to them.
The background is really cool...I like how the closeup of her face in the background fades away with the edge of the paint rather than with the edge of the paper/canvas. It creates a particularly cool effect along the edge of her hair, as the edge of the paint merges with the highlight and it just looks cool.
The only real problem I see isn't really due to the actual art itself, but the fact that the face is kinda blurry because of the photograph. Other than that this is an awesome pic. : )

and it's 'cause i like pretty characters that aren't just damsels in distress. the weapons are so that she's able to defend and take care of herself without no prince to the rescue

lols, i don't really think there's that many details. it's just that i chose too many colors for this one. (it started off mostly reddish...until i added a lil blue into the dress....which made me add blue to the shirt...and eventually to her hair too.....)
