Summer Sunset StormsOverlooking the Front Range of the Colorado Rockies with Longs Peak to the far right, the evening thunderstorms started to roll in fighting the battle of the sky against the sunset. The light and drama was incredible, and every now and then, you just are in the right place at the right time with the camera shooting.
Blended HDR, RAW output through Dynamic Photo HDR, Lightroom and PS. Hope ya all like it!

When I look at this composition it reminds me of the Lord of the ring movie. It reminds me of Sauron's eye.

I love how the photo is almost in layers--dark sky, light sky, dark mountains. The unbelievable clarity has the biggest impact, with all the details in the mountain and texture in those roiling clouds. Does that clarity come from the type of camera you use or touch ups in PS? Sorry for my ignorance ><

I wish Ohio had such beautiful places to photograph. I know there must be some places but I live in the city. I have nothing but buildings and great deal of them in ruins

Great sky(being HDR its pretty hard to not have a great sky) any chance we can see this without HDR treatment? For me I think natural non HDR wild skies have sooo much more appeal, would love to see it.

Probably not, as I have a lot of other work to shatre first and the non HDR shot isn't much different than this per say, this having many elements of the base exposure within it
