Description
An Elk busy eating the grass in a ditch along the road near Jasper, Alberta, Canada.I was surprised at how close I could get to it...I probably could have got a bit closer, but there were lots of other people around taking pictures too, so I didn't want to scare it away.
Update 08/01/09: My mom ~artsyone39 has used this photo for one of her paintings, At Peace . Go check it out!

I used to have these big guys in my yard feeding with my horses, they are really cool.
