Two of my Chaos Tactical Marines painted in a variant colour scheme.
From the Chaos Space Marine Codex:
"Within the overall "uniform" of the Black Legion, different warbands and companies may choose to adopt a more individual rendering of the colour scheme and iconography. This particular variation was sighted during a Chaos attack on Calypsa Proximus in 774.M40."

Thanks, but this is a Black Legion colour scheme... that is why it is yellow/golden.

Oh it looked more yellow than gold, hmm maybe use metallic paint for gold?

I used white basecoat to lighten the yellow color.. and some burnished gold to cover that yellow with yome metallic stuff but the picture cant show that realistic

Awesome scheme, always thought how it would look on a actual figure opposed to the illustration in the codex.
Seeing a full force painted like that would awesome I guess... (although I can see how it's a lot of work to paint even one figure like that)

Yep, I find this scheme awesome too. That is why I tried to paint it
And I agree with you totally, on a real miniature looks much more awesome than that illustration in the codex.
I have a very very secret project that I working on. We can call it "C40K".
So my C40K project will use 8 chaos tactical marine with this colour scheme
I thought it will be easy to paint this scheme, but it was harder than it looks.
I had a lot of sculpting works with both chests and the feet.
Oh almost forgot... i used regular space marine shoulder pads to the pad with the arrow...a little conversion
