Which isn't too bad a choice - especially if you're in the mood for longer studies.

He was climbing and hopping all around the rocks. So clumsy. So cute.

Lucky! You got to go to the zoo! Nice sketechies, I love the baby penguin. That cougar looks pretty relaxed.

Oh geeez, I wish our zoo had cougars -whine- I like how you did their thick limbs and bodies. I think I like best (after the adorable one, of course) is the one laying down looking away; that's so hard to draw for me, and yours is perfect! If I could trouble you... ? What all do you use for these? Cardboard/stock-kinda paper? Just a normal pencil?

Heh, our university mascot is the cougar... they'd better have 'em. Though it's actually in the city of our in-state rival, so it was (kinda) cute to hear dads come up and tell their kids "Oh, we don't like cougars." X)
As for materials... it's just a recycled paper sketchbook I got from Barnes and Noble - it's 7x10, roughly 90 sheets, and cost about $13. I love being able to use white on it for highlights, and the paper is really resistant to bleeding (so you can use both sides and scan without the other side showing!). Most markers and ink won't go through - only Prismacolor markers (and its equivalents) are able to do it. Which might have to do with the ink type. There is a Prismacolor marker experiment on here, but everything else is ballpoint pen and white colored pencil.

Oh, I think they have recycled paper sketchbooks at Wal-Mart here. I wanted one, but yeah, they're 10 dollars or so. But I do love how you can use the white pencil, too. Thanks! :]

Scribbling at the zo is so much fun!
I like the sleeping cougar (and the bunch of smilies you put there, hahaha!)
The penguins are precious. They're just doodles but you captured their "personality" perfectly. They're jackass pengis, right?
