Description Along the coast the birds that prey
Upon the waves stir softly sands

As warm as winter's holiday
Upon the tiny waving hands

Of grasses hid from moon and sky
By rolling tide and slithering eel

For wand'ring vessels wandering by
Sans hull or raft; sans mast or keel

The tender tendril's harsh embrace
A tender meal to feast upon

Unto the deep brings tender grace
Of life and death, the tide rolls on

Glad you liked it. Wrote this way back when I was still capable of writing stuff to make people smile... Maybe I should try doing that again. Either way, glad it made you smile, and thanks for the comment!

A) you just shot past all the world by quoting my favorite band in your preview image.
B) your imagery again struck me, and so does your diction; the 'tiny waving hands of grass' was a particular favorite of mine.

Wow that's really pretty! It reminds me of 'The tide rises, the tide falls' by Longfellow.

Wow, this is really gorgeous. Your rhyming, rhythm and structure are perfect to create the right flow, with an excellent use of language, alliteration and imagery.

I almost didn't see this, guess I'm just going to have to keep an eye on you
