I'm wondering - did you get this for gaming or do you use it for all the other stuff too? I'm just soooo wanting one, but I'm not actually a huge gamer - I just want a nicely fast laptop with great graphics to watch movies and such. And to do normal things on. So, basically, since you have one, maybe you could say if I would even need Alienware for that, or is it pointless for me?

Well, I mainly got it because I'm a huge gamer and I also need a powerful computer for my major (graphic design). It works great watching movies and doing just about anything else. This model that I have, the older Area 51 m15x has a few issues (the speakers for example don't sound too great) but I think it's great for my needs, I wear headphones when I'm gaming so speakers don't matter much to me. The newer "All Powerful M15x" I can't say too much about... but I think it's probably a solid laptop, more powerful than mine for sure.
lol anyway... you probably don't NEED an Alienware if you don't need gaming power, because that's what they're made for. But it will definitely do normal things just fine too.

The people on that forum are very helpful and there's tons of information and reviews there. That's where I started when deciding if I should get an Alienware or not.

I was just thinking that maybe I just got too excited with Alienware, so I didn't really consider anything else 
Sorry to waste your time on this, but if you have some experience with computers then what do you think - is Dell as good and durable as I've heard? Getting the money together for buying a laptop just isn't that easy for me and I really don't want to make a bad decision about it and waste money.

Oh yeah, I'd say my Alienware weighs about 7-8 pounds and it feels kinda heavy after carrying it around for a while. Not too bad, though, I can handle it and I'm a skinny girl lol. I have noticed however that it's kinda big for the lecture desks haha. It barely fits on there.
I don't know too much about Dell computers since my desktop computer is custom built and even though my laptop is Alienware, I think this model was made before Dell acquired them. But there is a Dell section on that forum I linked you to as well so maybe the people there would have some better opinions for you.

I see! That's cool! We do have technology in Pakistan...but for the most part, it's all obsolete/out of date, so. =] Oh, and Pakistan is (technically) a country not a 'village' (

Chocolate brown eyes are really a typical feature for Pakistanis so I guess I just don't see anything special about it. But this friend of mine has 'honey comb' brown eyes-which is just the rarest kind of brown I think and therefore, she looks beautiful.
