This past couple weeks I watched a few videos about developing protagonists for one-shots (alongside the 90's Berserk OVA). My first order of business should've been to give Feist an actual personality, afterall I'm pretty sure you'd want to know how a rattata got the name "Feist(y)" (full of nervous energy, quarrelsome, defiant...) to begin with.

I found a list that ranked pokemon in RBY by stats . Rattata is on the lowest rung of this list, so my idea for "Feist" is basically this:

He believes that he has to be strong to survive.

And now...mouse is psychotic
