And so I don't re-type the explanation behind what's going on here, I'll copy and paste because I'm lazy:
This was inspired by the rather dramatic events that are going on in the Inuyasha manga right now. Those of you who keep up with the weekly scanlations know what this is.
For those of you who don't read the current manga chapters, the gang are finally in the final battle which is taking place within Naraku's body after he's apparently used the completed Shikon no Tama. After separating Inuyasha and Kagome from Miroku and Sango, Naraku draws Inuyasha and Kagome too close to the Shikon, making it's corruption turn Inuyasha full youkai. He starts going after Kagome and she can't stop him, although he's fighting as hard as he can inside to get her away from him. Not before he takes a chunk out of her arm, though.
There's probably between 30-60 hours of work put into this; I can't be sure since I didn't keep a definite count. For anyone who is interested, though, I've done a little three part "This is sorta kinda how I do it" over at my LJ. Keep in mind it isn't in any way detailed... it's just more like narrated progress screen shots.

I wasn't too fond of the anime just because I got bored of it halfway through the series, however whenever Inuyasha turned into his demon form it did draw me back

Goodness, yes. The anime leaves out quite a few "squish" moments between Inuyasha and Kagome among other things. It has a little bit of a boring stretch in the middle third or so that the second anime skipped save for the important parts, but as a whole it is better.

This is from the manga.
They're inside Naraku's body during the final battle and he used the complete, tainted Shikon jewel to possess Inuyasha and make him turn against Kagome. The last six or so episodes of the completion anime Inuyasha: The Final Chapter covers the ending battle with Naraku as well as the battle against the jewel itself.

Okay i love inuyasha ive been watching all the episeds online but i havent really read the manga! do you know if there gonna make the res of the manga into and anime and if when? and what chapter does this scene take place in? and is the manga much different than the anime or vise versa? This is an awesome picture! i love those two! ^U^

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply... RL has been crazy.
There are only rumors flying around as to whether or not they'll finishing animating the series. I'm really hoping they do, though, because there's so much great stuff left in the manga. The anime didn't even get halfway through the manga... out of 558 chapters the anime stopped somewhere around chapter 300, I think. Maybe earlier.

The manga is MUCH better than the anime. The anime really cut back on the relationship development between Kagome and Inuyasha, and they really stunted him as a character in the anime and made her really annoying and subjugation-happy. She doesn't use the rosary nearly as much in the manga as she does in the anime. The writers of the anime also seem to have a love affair for Kikyou and added a bunch of non-canon stuff about her relationship with Inuyasha that never happened in the manga.
I would highly recommend you read the manga all the way through rather than rely solely on the manga.

I feel like I'm repeating myself, but...wow. Your ability to bring these moments to life is amazing! The look of heartbreak/terror on Kagome's face and the opposing forces fighting for control in Inuyasha (his body is pushing forward but his bloodied fist is withdrawn) perfectly illustrates that point of the manga.

you did this all on Adobe Illustrator? wow hon you gotta tell me how xD I just learning the thing and like I cant even get the pencil tool to work for me at times amazing!

The line work was done in Illustrator... the coloring was done in Photoshop.
The pencil tool in Illustrator is pretty much useless. If you want to do linework use the pen tool to make each line and enclosed shape; you get much better line quality that way instead of it being one thin line on everything.
