Oh Carth. You're so awkward. I mean smooth. Yes. Smooth is what I meant.
Confession time: I think a lot of games could be made infinitely more hilarious if you could flirt with the NPC's. Pokemon? Check. Zelda? Fo sho! Point being, the fact that there was actually a romance sub-plot in this game was like GOLD to me.
Don't take any of this seriously at all. Carth's awesome, he's just so easy to make fun of.

I'm not sure what's more hilarious: that so many female-targeted video game love interests have background personal trauma that basically adds up to "But they just need someone to LOVE them and that will fix it!!1!one!" or that the majority of them actually manage to pull that off on an emotional level.
