They sell bakeable clay in the craft section at walmart now. All you need as tools is wire (for bigger ones, wings, legs and such) toothpicks make toe, horn and claw sculpting easier, in and out of the clay. Sewing needles for fine detail. Pens, tinfoil. Common household tools. You should see DragonsAndBeasties, WoodSplitterLee and MaryBunnie I think i got there names spelled right. They make amazing art too. Lee makes posable clay plushies. If you can sew, you would be great at that.

I think they are the same crystals you use XD Do yours come in a small grey box hanging on hooks? Svwartsky crystals or something. I wish I knw how to make water. I would make a water base for her.

MaryBunnie In reply to KumoriYori [2011-03-18 18:33:44 +0000 UTC]

yes i do! i use crystazzi and jolees. jolees are real swarovski and are better quality but more expensive but crystazzi are also crystal i like them both ^-^
You could make a resin base but it would be a lot of work

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

KumoriYori In reply to MaryBunnie [2011-03-18 19:12:51 +0000 UTC]

I found a box XD They are the Jolees Jewels brand. The Hotfix kind so they permanantly bond to the clay. This means my art price can be a little more. I never thought of that. I bought some larger shaped crystals from that brand as well. A blue heart, and one of each crystal clear star and moon. I will figure out things to do with those soon

MaryBunnie In reply to KumoriYori [2011-03-18 19:37:54 +0000 UTC]

whoa yea! I have the blue heart! I love it so much though that i must keep it forever, my avorite shape is a heart I have some little hearts from that brand as well! Yes you can raise the price definately they are expensive but well worth it, they make such lovely details, I even found a use for them on the goggles of my little dragon that is now adopted by you!

that little guy is being mischevious. XD He keeps trying to jump of the shelf. I have the curious guy keeping an eye on him. But he keeps finding things that draw his attention and forgets to watch the little guy. o.o;

whoohoo!
They are quite a handful, those two! An overly optimistic dragon and an easily distracted dragon, i like the combination! I think they are especially happy that they were adopted together so they aren't homesick ^-^

Thanks I got this paint in the clay section at Hobby Lobby. It's called Precious Metal Colour from Viva brand. Very expensive though. The 25 ml bottle cost me 9 dollars. o.o

Yay so glad he's safe! sorry he scared your cat and I tried to put some different colors in the fur like you had asked but the colors wouldn’t go on right so I wiped them of, guess I don't know how to do that (yet.) What do you think you’ll name the lil guy?
