Today was a special day in Brushfire Acres. Why? They were going to find out if Miss Leading had actuality managed to get knocked up for the first time! It had been a few weeks since they were able to have the vet do his magic, and he was back again to see if finally managed to take. In the cozy old barn there were many sweating brows, fidgeting hands, and even one drunk old man only half-watching TV with a painted stallion while they waited for the man in the blue smock to finish his testing.

The vet with graying black hair smiled to the crew waiting outside the very annoyed mare's stall.
"Well, you can go ahead and move her to the brood mare acres."
A blond girl just turned 20 squealed with delight and grabbed the chestnut mares face and kissed her nose. Leading snorted and flicked her ears back rather put out at this big show of affection but not doing any thing more. The human was a good one- even if she was a bit over the top.
"You're going to be a mommy!" She cooed out to the mare who flicked her head sideways like she was saying "Duh."
Her horse scenes figured that out a long time ago. She hated EVERY stallion who came near her lately, not bothering to even give them the time of day. She couldn't help but watch other mare's foals and feeling a little jealous. Bah. It wasn't a pregnancy glow- just more of a more irritable temperament then usual. She looked at the photo of this Hawk Skilled boy that the girl Emilia had posted in her stall with distain. He had done this to her somehow… 'Vet magic' Emilia had called it. She snorted. She didn't really want to know how it worked, but it had worked. But she couldn't help the stray thought of wondering what the stallion would be like if she had the chance to meet him in real life. Would she hate him like she hated the others? Probably. But she was curious anyway. The thought passed fleetingly though, grain was being poured into her bucket and she had better things to do then think about silly colts.
