I made this minor race portrait for Star Control: Origins - Syndicate DLC.

I'm quite fond of this one, though the design would work more on a low res classic Star Control II comm screen. The idea was to make a race that has these unnaturally deep, abyss-like holes with some gem-like eyes in their middle. If I could I would use the Malequit as a race featured in Chapter 2 of my SC2 sequel quadrilogy, but as of now it's just headcanon.

I suspect StarDock thought it's just low effort, so they didn't end up using it.
