2022 UPDATE: After over five years, I finally revisited the bear and bird and made a new model of them based on their original design:

Here it is, folks. The pièce de résistance, my magnum opus: Banjo-Kazooie! By far the most challenging model I've yet attempted. Most of the other models I've made this year were done, at least in part, to test materials and techniques for the bear and bird, and they themselves took about three months to create. Banjo alone is 9” tall, but with Kazooie and her colorful plumage on his back, the bear and bird together stand just about 15” tall. It was quite the undertaking, but I think I managed to do my favorite video game duo justice!

I chose to do the Nuts & Bolts interpretation of the characters mainly because I thought they would make for a more impressive looking model. Their patchwork design seemed like it would translate better to the materials I use. And, to be honest, I do have a soft spot in my heart for Nuts & Bolts. I know most folks prefer their N64 designs, but there's no vehicles here, so let's assume the bear and bird are about to embark on another platforming adventure.
