I SWEAR WHEN RACH NOTED ME THAT MY SECRET SANTA WAS YOU I LITERALLY SQUEALED AND NOTED RACH BACK ASKING HER IF THIS SECRET SANTA WAS RIGGED OR SOMETHING. I COULD NOT BELIEVE MY LUCK BECAUSE I HAD A DREAM THAT YOU WERE GONNA BE MY PERSON AND IT CAME TRUE AND I ACTUALLY SCREAMED. It made me so, so, SO ridiculously happy and giddy and I was so excited to have you because I know you ship this and I know I love shipping and we both love cute stuff!!
But I was wrong. I was so, so wrong.
THIS WAS TERRIBLE-- NSDFKSD-- I COULD NOT DECIDE ON ONE SINGLE ART PIECE TO MAKE AND GIVE. I LOVE DRAWING THESE TWO SO FREAKING MUCH THAT I COULD NOT DECIDE ON JUST ONE SECRET SANTA PRESENT TO GIVE TO YOU BECAUSE I WANTED TO GIVE YOU PILES UPON PILES OF DRAWINGS OF THEM AND THAT REALLY FRICKED ME OVER OKAY I WAS REALLY STUMPED. Seriously though I didn't know what to give you because there was so much I wanted to give you!! ; _ ;
So in my attempt to think of what to give you, I listened to Frozen's soundtrack, and came upon this song- "Love is an Open Door" . As soon as I heard it, I could not think of anyone else except for Heren and Lorelie. These two completely fit the song-- the context of the song set aside, since (SPOILERS) Hans is appaaarently the bad guy. Oops. I promise, Heren wouldn't go breaking Lorelie's heart like that ;v; (END SPOILERS) It was awkward when I realized that since I never saw the movie and it was just like "welp okay then ok";;;
But yes, I totally see our two derps for this song. TT u TT Which is why I drew them dancing to it!!
I started this in study hall during school one day while listening to the song (which, for the record, I HAVE PLAYED OVER 682 TIMES OH MY G Od) and I didn't have a reference so...their outfits....aren't completely accurate in comparison to the actual characters' (Hans and Anna) clothing in the movie. I tried to include intricate details though, and some of them are part of the canon clothing like the decorations on the dress. But yeah it's not completely accurate.
My original idea for your secret santa present was a Beauty and the Beast themed drawing (I was trying to get inspiration from other Disney songs and yeah), so I still wanted that element in here- and that's found with the background!
I-- I fricked myself over with this background I CAN'T-- NDSKF-- THAT BACKGROUND TOOK ME WAY TOO LONG I CANNOT DEAL PRITTAYTAY CANNOT DEAL //MUFFLED CRIES
ALSO SAY NOTHING ABOUT THE ANATOMY OK PLS //SOBS AND ROLLS DOWN HILL
All in all this has killed my hands and ears because I listened to the song constantly while drawing it and wow people who think traditional art is easy are so funny ahAHAHAhaAha;;;;
Anyway, I really hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed making it!! (I enjoyed drawing it a lot I promise) ; v ; I love you so much Angel and you are a hyperactive ball of sunshine and I hope you had a fantastic very belated Christmas and happy holidays! I hope this new year will be one full of amazing adventures and wonderful experiences, some of which Heren and I can be a part of!
