When people know they're being photographed, even if by own will, they automaticallt put on their second face. Fear of criticism? Defence mechanism? Who knows why, but what you see is rarely what you get.

I like this photo of me, because, though not really what I'd call "glamorous", it shows a certain level of "understanding" as well as "curiousity" in my eyes that I rarely reveal.

Funny when I think about it. Miss Gee took this photo when I wasn't expecting it. Perhaps if I had been, the pic would not possess the same realism and therefore "worth" that it has.
