Sacred Rhythm - You know, a heartbeat. This flame looked like the heart of some fantastic beast to me, maybe a dragon.

A really nice one.I like the "two diff. layers" Good with one darker and one less darker , more effectful design that way!

It's actually all one flame, as this was done in Apophysis, and no post work other than the border/signature was done after render. No layering involved, just careful gradient selection.

The "background" stuff is mostly achieved by pulling the gamma way up, and hitting it to 100 quality. It's amazing what doesn't show up till you punch the quality sometimes.

There's lots of tutorials, the program I use is fairly easy to understand, and the fractal community on here is very helpful. Go ahead and dive in.
