Actually, I named it in reference to the Norse myth, not the works of H.P. Lovecraft.

Very cool. Reminds me of some kind of horrible blue electrical burn. There are very interesting layers.

There's a point near the bottom two-thirds where it looks like it could be a reflection, but the symmetry isn't there.
It's a compelling piece that I think would look interesting if it was made to look reflected off of water or something.
Regardless, as it is, it is stunning.
The font reminds me of the Jim Henson movie, The Dark Crystal.

Yay! You got the font!
Sorry, you're not likely to see any of my work using the "reflected off water" gimmick, because that's exactly what it is.
All my images are doomed to make do with what I can actually do in Apophysis instead of relying on postprocesssing tricks.

That's interesting. I don't really thin of my work as old style, but I do try for minimalist and I try not to follow every passing fad.

i know what the name means and the fractal suits it.
it would even moar if you used an orangey color.

I know, but I have two tree like fractals in my finished stuff, and this one was the one that made me think of the World Tree. It's in the random color that looked good. I never choose my colors based on a theme, but rather to suit the flame.
