Avery had barely been able to get a little breakfast down. Her nerves were frayed and it was a good thing Bryce was there to tell her to chill out or she may have spent the whole night walking the stadium or staring at it. Odd enough, that was always the more stressful phase. Sure the fences fell down but the crowd was right THERE.

Out on cross country you could almost think you were alone out there with your horse.

Aranka nuzzled her human reassuringly. While a bit spirited, she had jogged sound and with a bit of sass which had continued into the warmup. It at least gave something for Avery to focus on and helped ease her mind that her partner felt good. All of their conditioning and preparation having paid off.

When it was there go, Aranka bopped a bit as they did their salute but after the first fence was out of the way, Avery got a bit ahead but Aranka saved a potential blooper and both settled down after that to put a way a final clean round.

This time Avery knew there were tears of joy as she patted the mare, regardless how they ended up in the scores, they had finished! And on their dressage score, she couldn’t have asked for better.

references from Olympic journals for jump and background- ehh could have used more work but I actually liked the WIP phase. I don't do flats well so to see them come out well only to have to add more was amusing lol.

(May not be fully finished by time judging starts but eh I had fun! And even if finished there are some really amazing entries!)
