Description I had the idea to use Azalea's Heroine doll maker to create a series of dolls depicting goddesses from cultures all throughout history.

Goddess: Ma'at
Origin: Egypt

Ma'at was the ancient Egyptian concept of truth, balance, order, law, morality, and justice. Ma'at was also personified as a goddess regulating the stars, seasons, and the actions of both mortals and the deities, who set the order of the universe from chaos at the moment of creation.

As a goddess in other traditions of the Egyptian pantheon, where most goddesses were paired with a male aspect, her masculine counterpart was Thoth and their attributes are the same. After the rise of Ra they were depicted together in the Solar Barque.

After her role in creation and continuously preventing the universe from returning to chaos, her primary role in Egyptian mythology dealt with the weighing of souls that took place in the underworld, Duat. Her feather was the measure that determined whether the souls (considered to reside in the heart) of the departed would reach the paradise of afterlife successfully.

Pharaohs are often depicted with the emblems of Ma'at to emphasize their role in upholding the laws of the Creator.

How do you save the dolls you create

After I have finished making the doll, I screenshot it using the "PRT SC" key that is just to the right of the F12 key. I then open up photoshop and paste (CTRL+V) the screenshot into a new document, and then use the photoshop tools to cut and copy until I have a picture that is just the doll, which I then save and upload to my gallery. ^_^

Hitting the "prt sc" key just makes the computer copy everything correctly showing on your monitor. You then have to open up Photoshop or ms paint or some other picture editing program. Once you have the program open, start a new document, and then hit "Ctrl+V" which will tell your computer to paste the image it took earlier into this new document.

I remember reading about Ma'at. She was a symbol for Egyptian law-makers & judicial courts of the time period, just like Lady Justice is a symbol for OUR courts today.

Lovely work, btw .
