Found this gorgeous clock art summary template and wanted to try it out *v*
Not much to say about 2013, it's been a pretty stagnant stable year art-wise, mainly because I haven't had much time to experiment much this year due to work.
Hasn't really been any change in terms of drawing, though at least it seems like my colouring's managed to make a certain degree of improvement? And I've gotten a lot more confident with my painted style at the very least 8')
On the plus side, I've managed to stick to my two resolutions from last year - to practice drawing guys and backgrounds/scenery shots. Tumblr has helped motivate me to do a lot more sketching, so I've gotten a lot of practice doing quick composition and colouring using textures and such for quick background effects. I've also put more time into rediscovering my personal OCs and stories from yonks ago ( =v= )/
For next year, I'd like to keep working on the same resolutions as 2013, and maybe some more dynamic compositions and stronger lighting effects? That one'll be a toughie since I have a terrible sense of drawing movement and proportion so we'll see, but as always, thank you dear watchers to sticking by and watching my derp arts unfold!

Ahhhh such beautiful color usage as always, bro! * v * <3 I absolutely adored your use of backgrounds this year, and don't even get me started on lighting and stuff adkfjhg-- Also, totally agreeing with Draco on your art style becoming more stable (not stagnant!) through the course of the months. It really shows in how you place your colors more solidly, and how much more cohesive everything looks altogether.

It has been a good year for you, and I'm glad to know you were able to accomplish your resolutions. Sorry I haven't quite been able to comment/critique as much this year work has been kicking my butt with its long hours and high stress, but it's nice to know you were able to improve not only your skills, but your confidence as well. I know the latter has always been a hard one for you, given that you're always your own worst critic. You seem to have gotten a grasp on what your style has truly become, or as you say, it's become more stable and not stagnant! You've done a great job this year Lainey, and I'm proud of you.
...Also, mixing it up this year by going for the clock template? *shot* Definitely does make it stand out from your other summaries though.

You have absolutely nothing to apologise about, I totally understand where you're coming from with work that dang energy sapper /shakes fist at, and you've been nothing but supportive this whole year through (through mutual feeling if not through DA comments haha), so thank you very much! If anything, I wish I'd had more time to kick my butt to places for chats but yea epic failure at that for 2013 orz ;;;; But hey it's a new year, so we'll see where we go from now *v* So thanks once again for the as always insightful comment, Draco!
