Very busy orz. Got back from music camp then got flooded with summer work and college stuff, but now at least the last month of summer is more or less free for me :'D

I'm sorta up and dpwn right now, should be busy but I just procrastinate a lot orz. And preparing for a big expo for work soon, though boss has been a bit stubborn lately so he's making things a little stressful =v= ;;; But ah well could be worse XD

I struggle with chibis a lot, so it's good to hear I'm finally hitting a style that works ;v;

&& lol I bet you'd look awesome in that kind of outfit, wear it to a con one day so people won't stare XD tho that outfit actually gave me huge headaches when designing pfft

Maybe next time you want something simple and you're gonna add detail, just stop yourself and ask "Does it really need this?"

Lol I already ask myself that all the time, and sadly my brain tells me 'yes' most of the time, mainly because I hate submitting things on empty backgrounds, and bgs look really odd to me if they're not coloured properly ;;;

Ah well probably, but I find zoomed shots work for Kairi's kind of details where it's super elaborate clothing designs. My kind of details tend to be subtle in the bgs more than anything else, which often doesn't really change whether you see it in bigger or smaller resolutions (all you'd see is my messy colouring instead /sobs). I do it when things are super zoomed out so a good portion of details are lost (like my Timeless Melody image), but otherwise it seems kinda moot point to be zooming in on backgrounds when it doesn't really add much to the end viewing (if that paragraph made sense orz) 8')
