Although your drawing is lovely. We have a rule at the group you posted it into. (i dont want to promote the group, so check out which one im talking about). i usually sketch in grayscale,well i use photoshop and then i color it using color blend layer, pick some pinky sand color on the pallete, i use multiply and overlay layer for shade and light, and if you dont satisfied with the result use photofilter... well thats works for me^^ hope its helps...
