oh nice. was this event staged and was she the only one aware of the staging? did the bard hire the guy to fight the ogre or did she hire the ogre to fight the guy?
or was she just dancing through the woods. "story time yall!"

Your interests are fighting monsters in the woods or writing songs about it?

It's an allusion to consequentialism.

Wow, I'm loving the idea with the club. But really I'm just enjoying it all around!

Love the way it looks, the environment really comes out, and so do the characters.
On another note, I started following North World yesterday. On page 107 now.

love the engine block club and the two shirts to make one that fits on the ogre. Great ideas!
The overall color tone is unexpected but I do like it. It reminds me of poorly calibrated old TV set.

I kinda let Photoshop dink up the color scheme by tweaking it with hue/saturation.
I'm quite proud of the double shirt : )

How do you get the inkwash "effect" (so to speak) not to be lost when you scan it?

I guess it came in a little light, so I darkened it. I'm looking at the original and I still lost some of the value, but when you start adding color underneath it you can manipulate it enough. At worst it would have given it some nice texture.

Thanks!
I've tried before and i always lose value of the wash, i'll fool around with the settings, but knowing that about the coloring helped.

I like the way it turned out! I think it could use some actual lineart, at least a small outline, on the foreground trees and bushes. The colors came out great, though.

Yeah, but the problem with that is once you start outlining things it's hard to stop.

Thanks man. Drawings should either be awesome or funny (okay that's pretty narrow, but still)

This one succeeds on both counts.
By the way, I really enjoyed Cloud Story. I'd like to see more of the skies over Northworld.

Me too, I've got more Nico planned but not sure how to get the skies back in there quite yet.
