Yeah, texturing sure feels like puzzles.
It takes a while to figure out which parts are where, especially when you are not fully familiar with the model.
I've attempted retexturing a weapon in Oblivion and it was pretty hard figuring out some parts.
Later I realized I could have used a tool to view the model xD.

Hehe yeah that's good to have. I find creating the UVW map taking a lot of time, and in the beginning it's easy to get these weird stretched faces which makes the actual texturing feel like playing Portal.
