It's interesting because when I named it Home it was because it's Abhorsen home, but upon reflection, I suppose these stories have been a place of returning for me, a place of comfort. I create art from these stories when I'm down, happy, or simply as a place to enjoy practicing my skills. Without knowing it I have built a home there. (Trying not to be melodramatic here) but these books have shaped my artistic progression.

Ahhh yes I also kind of felt that it was also a bit metaphoric for you and your art! Cause you're right, you keep coming back to this series (which, as a HUGE fan of the series and your art I'm REALLY REALLY happy that you do this). I hope you can continue to feel inspiration from this amazing book series too for many more years to come~

Most excellent and saved as a favourite. My grown up sons are very into the Garth Nix books and I think a full set of all 9 gates would make an good present for each. I'm sure you would agree?

Well I would love to do the covers one day, it would be an honour, but I do like Seb's work.
My only issue with his portraying the Abhorsen is the size of the bells he paints, they seem far too small, but hey ho!

Daaang, the pouring water and the sweep upwards of the mountains really contrasts beautifully with the quiet stillness of the House!

I've always loved the concept of the Abhorsen's home being right at the edge of the waterfall (especially with its resemblance to some of the Precincts of Death), and I think you captured that image beautifully.

If I remember well, reason was more practical waterfall was defence against the Dead (I was reading in other language than English, so I'm not sure if I used good word).
