Thanks Phil ! It started out as an impulse, you know ? But now I really like them. I'd still like to learn the Julians & some of the other things I see, but for now I'm enjoying these pure abstract flames. No scripts, no variations.

Yep!! One thing I found out recently is with a white BR you can turn up the brightness and make the colors darker!!

It's very beautiful. Did you create this w' Apophysis? How did you change the background into white? (I haven't discovered it yet)

Yes, it's very hard to create a good fractal, I still need to learn about it...

You just need to play around with it, see what you like, see what the different variations & scripts can do. As for my light background, you can change the background color by opening up Apo, then clicking on Adjust. Click the Rendering tab & at the bottom you'll see "background" with the default background color, ( black ), as a small tab or window. Click on the color & it'll pop you over to a color chart. You can either choose any of the prechosen colors or play around on the chart.

I think that this one looks like a face, too! This is an insect face, though...maybe a grasshopper.
Very calm and mellow. I like the look of smoke swirling around and creating those wonderful shapes and veils. Great little bits of color add lots of interest and become much more important in an almost monocromatic image like this one. Nice work, of course!
