Receiving training in geology in Vulcan schools, Sanok applied for entry into Starfleet, finding the organization a perfect fit for his drive and talent. Working with Commander Kohong, Sanok has come to find deep space science an especially exhilarating study.

Dr. Sarita Morrissey, M.D.

Origin: Manchester, Great Britain, Earth

Growing up the daughter of a psychiatrist and a pathologist, Morrissey followed her parents' passion for medicine and attended the University of Leeds for her undergraduate work, and received her doctorate at the University of the Masters on Alpha Centauri.

Her decision to join the Federation came as a young practitioner working with a humanitarian aid organization fighting a viral pandemic on Terra Six. Morrissey worked directly with the medical crew of the USS Edens to solve the crisis, and soon after joined them. She stayed with Edens until 2260 when she transferred to Hood.

Commander Sothy Kohong, Chief of Science
Age: 36
Origin: Battambang Province, Kingdom of Cambodia, Earth
Relatives: Wife, Channary Kohong; Sons, Vibol and Sothy Jr.; Daughter Botary

Formerly a researcher for Southeast Asia's foremost scientific foundation, Kohong joined Starfleet to fulfill a desire to experience the wonders of the universe, and find a chance to leave his own lasting mark on scientific knowledge.

Kohong is a family man, with his wife and three children at home on Earth. He keeps in close touch with subspace dispatches, and when possible video-messages to his home in Battambang.

Commodore Evandro Kell
Age: 53
Origin: Meurcea, Territory of Albain, Annon
Relatives: Wife, Unecia Kell; Brother, Devid; Son of Eudoird and Mari.

An Annonite, Kell's first work in space was serving in the Royal Star Armada aboard the RSV Terrannor until age 32, when at the rank of Lieutenant he transferred his commission to Starfleet, as allowed by Federation law.

A dedicated leader and honestly caring man, his belief in deserving the respect of his crew instead of simply expecting it follows with Annonite ideals of personal dignity. The practice has allowed Kell to forge incredibly close-knit and loyal crews, and fostered leadership in his dearest friends.

Lieutenant Commander Richard Arleigh Baczarek, Chief of Engineering
Age: 34
Origin: San Diego, California, United States of America, Earth
Relatives: Brother, Steven; Father, Mike

Known primarily as Richie, Baczarek enlisted in Starfleet with two friends and was identified as officer material. Following his love of automotive work, and a mathematical edge that Academy advisors found during aptitude testing, Richie joined the Engineering and Support corps and rose through the ranks aboard the USS Walker.

His wit and outgoing personality wins many friends, but on occasion rubbed superiors wrong. Despite being rather light-hearted and irreverent, Richie has never taken his duties or his orders lightly.

Lieutenant Josiane Virgine Laurent-Devereux
Age: 26
Origin: Arrondissement Élysée, Paris, France, Earth

As a moneyed debutante from Paris, Josiane, or Jo as she's known to friends, left home and joined the Federation Starfleet to escape what she saw as the boredom of home. Despite such casual reasons for joining, Jo quickly found not only an aptitude, but a love of flight.

Initially, Jo honed her work aboard the USS Zenith before transferring to the USS Hood. Her service aboard Hood has marked a change in Jo, bringing her out of the calm aloofness of her wealthy upbringing into several dear friendships including her bunkmate Varya Sin-Alm, Richie Baczarek, and Commodore Kell.

Lieutenant Varya Sin-Alm
Age: 24
Origin: Kalabin, Orion
Relatives: Father, Thoro Alm

Raised to be a prized Orion slave, Varya considered the state of the Trade to be too poor to participate in. With her father in agreement, she found a plan to increase her value. The final plan was to join the Federation and enter their Starfleet. With the knowledge and experience - and pension - gained from her service, she could stand to become the most valuable slave since the glory days of the Trade.

Her first post was the USS Arabella as the personal adjutant to Captain Shannon. He personally recommended Varya to Commodore Kell, who took the Orion and added her to his crew, letting her find her place in phaser control.

Ensign Bernd Menzel
Age: 22
Origin: Berlin, Germany, Earth

After a brief but successful stint as a journalist, Menzel followed his love of language into the study of verbal communications, gaining a degree in Comparative Linguistics from Starfleet Academy while also completing his technical training for Class 1 comms equipment.

Technician K'Merr
Age: 20

Relatives: Brothers, S'Varr, T'Alam; Sister, L'Keli Parents: Ke'Thes and M'Larin

While apprenticing to become a mechanist, K'Merr accepted an invitation to attend a Starfleet technical workshop and seminar which led to his enlistment and acceptance to Starfleet Technical School. After completion, he was assigned to the USS Hood, where he is in his first tour of duty.
