I decided that I need me some more space pirates.
So here's the first finalized member of the crew! Introducing the first mate, Gold Pearl! Considered a defective gem, he originally belonged to a very high ranking quartz general who served in the homeworld order fleet squashing rebellions and deserters. Pearl was always relatively stoic, but it still shocked everyone when, in the heat of battle, Pearl turned on his master and not only poofed them, but destroyed their gem as well before making his escape. But before he did he freed one essential prisoner from the ship; the gem who would eventually become the captain of this pirate crew. The captain trusts Pearl completely, however the rest of the crew are tentative about him, given his mutinous past.
Pearl is the 'sassy butler' archtype. While largely devoid of expression, he is constantly making snarky remarks dripping in sarcasm, and seems to care very little for the comfort of those around him. Despite being a pearl, he assumes absolute control of the ship and it's crew when they are not being directed by the captain, and takes well to it.
