Description On the beach at Vik in southern Iceland. I love these wonderful black beaches. Reynisdrangar are basalt sea stacks under the mountain Reynisfjall near Vik.Β 
Legend says that the stacks originated when two trollsΒ dragged a three-masted ship to land unsuccessfully and when daylight broke they became needles of rock.
