Yeah, they're pretty special. The pop-star dress sphere was best for causing status effects.

I actually never use status comand effects in FF, just maybe sleep on t-rex in FFVIII. Cause these status effects are usually not working at all with some pretty tought monsters.

I used silence on elementals all the time in FFX-2, especially in Macalania.

Otherwise no, I completely agree.
