The shadows they creep ever closerThe howling wind it deafens my ears
The branches claw like hungry beasts
I look ahead and hasten more
The light ahead to reach I must
It calls to me, It's what i seek
With newed resolve, I carry on
My heart I know belongs in light
Not here in sheadows cloaked in dark
The path is cruel, sharp twists and turns
My feet they bleed from bites of thorns
But on I press to freedom sweet
A few more steps and I am free
I'm bathed in light, the dark recedes
It moans and groans and shrinks away
My heart is soaring with wings of light
I lay my head down, I close my eyes
I'm cleansed in light, my soul flies free
