Eek, sorry for the vanishing act! I've been teaching (wonderful) followed by moving (less so) and all in all I haven't been painting, let alone uploading. So this is a little old, but it was made for a community project to create new covers for books in the public domain. The text is framed a little funny because the trim size is smaller than what you see here. Dark-haired Alice, what! Nutty!Watercolor & digital.

Wow. Not sure how true it is but the little girl lewis carroll wrote the book for, his friend's child and inspiration for alice , was supposably dark haired and the original art ideas of alice were all black or brown short haired girls. Think it sau

Your art makes me so happy when I view it and I really can't say too many others do that for me (certainly they elicit emotion or I'm impressed, but not necessarily "happy")! Your colors are always so yummy and warm, and your characters are adorable. I hope you get a good amount of children's book illustration work, because you are so perfect for it!
