Phil POV

The Christmas holiday came to an end, and they had to attend school again.

Dan let out a sight “why do we have to go to school? Couldn’t we just live without?” He said in a complaining tone “I really don’t get it”

Phil laughed at him, and grabbed his hand “c’mon, we have to, it’s just the way it works.”

“But the teachers hate me, and...” he blushed slightly and looked at the ground beneath him as they walked towards the school.

“And what?” Phil asked and looked at Dan, with wondering eyes.

“I... It’s just...” Dan looked at Phil, he wanted to place his lips upon the other boy’s lips, but they were walking in an open street, so he couldn’t. “I just get so jealous, when you’re talking with everybody else” he admitted, looked down again and let his bangs cover his eyes. Dan got jealous, for some reason it made Phil feel the butterflies in his stomach moving around.

Phil squeezed his hand and sent him an optimistic smile “just tell me things like that Dan, I’ll keep it in mind” he didn’t want Dan to feel bad in any ways.

“But, I don’t want to hold you back, it’s not fair of me” Dan said and raised his head so he stared into Phil’s eyes again, those hassle brown eyes twinkled and made Phil feel like melting.

“It’s okay Dan, just promise to tell me if I do anything that hurts you or annoys you” Phil said and smiled at him, he nodded as answer and gave a smile, Phil squeezed his hand again before letting go of it, they had to keep low profile at the beginning.

Dan POV

The hours at school dragged away, he just wanted to get home, and play some sonic with Phil or something. The only good thing about school was the breaks where he could talk with PJ, Chris and Phil.

Phil sat up front in class, and Dan down in the back, so he could gaze at him all the time without anyone notice. He was so cute, the way he wrote everything down and tried to answer anything. Dan knew Phil had a hard time at school, he’d lost all of his memories, so when he started he couldn’t do any math or analyse the texts in English, the only thing he was good at was the reading. Dan felt bad for him, he tried so hard to follow the class, but kept on falling behind.

Dan wanted to hug Phil every time he saw him struggle with something, but he couldn’t, then everyone would see their relationship, but maybe it would be easier if people knew about them, and if his mom knew it, Dan could hug Phil all the time when they were at home, if they just told her. Dan decided to talk with Phil about it later.

Phil POV

When school finally ended, Phil felt worn out, he kept on acting like it was okay, and easy enough in class, but he just didn’t understand what the teachers where trying to teach him, it was frustrating. He hated his missing memories, but he couldn’t do anything to get them back, and he was afraid of it at the same time, what if his dreams were a part of those memories, what if they weren’t just dreams, but reality? It was the greatest fear of his, to find out his dreams were real.

They were almost home when Dan suddenly stopped and looked at Phil.

“Phil?” Dan asked “Don’t you think we should tell my mom?”

Phil smiled at Dan “if you’re ready” he said and smiled again, his answer made Dan light up in a smile, showing his dimples and making his eyes glow. Phil’s heart skipped a beat, he felt like falling in love again, was it even possible for a human to love someone that much?

“Let’s tell her tonight!” Dan said and smiled at Phil, Phil nodded and they hurried home.
