Dan POV

“It’s easy to explain dad, this is Dan, he’s my boyfriend”

Phil’s parents stared at the two of them with shock showed in their faces, Phil’s mom looked worried and sad while his father looked really angry, his face became all red, and he glared at Dan, then Phil, then Dan and then Phil again.

“He’s your WHAT?” The huge middle-aged man shouted at Phil, Dan felt really bad about the saturation, he felt like something bad was going to happen, and it was going to hurt.

“He’s my boyfriend dad, b o y f r i e n d” Phil explained calmly in a provocative voice, Dan wished he could see Phil face in that moment, but he was facing away from Dan. Phil’s dad looked like he tried hard to control himself, Dan was scared, this was an awful morning, he’d hoped for it to be happy, since it was the first morning after Phil woke up.

“You’re..... Gay?” Phil’s mom suddenly spoke again, even though it was quiet, everyone in the room heard it.

“Yep, I’m gay” Phil answered his mother, those words caused his dad to storm out of the room with a completely red face, he was angry, really angry.

Phil’s mom started sobbing, apparently both of his parents was homophobes, and Dan caused them to hate and despise their own son, Dan felt horrible, the tears was building up in his eyes, he kept on hurting Phil, he was a horrible person! He couldn’t bear it, he had to get some air, and without thinking he got up and hurried out of the room, leaving Phil alone, he regretted it the moment he left.

Phil POV

Phil stared after Dan when he ran out of the room, no, Dan couldn’t leave him, he could easily live without his parents, but he couldn’t live without Dan. Phil felt horrible, why did it turn out this way?

“We’ll take you home as soon as you’re out of here.” His mom said, Phil stared at her, no, he wouldn’t allow that, he didn’t want to go back to them.

“There’s no arguing, you’ve just turned 17 two months ago, we’re still the ones to decide for you.” With those words she left the room, probably to go find his father, Phil was left alone, all alone, no Dan, no everything.

Everything had fallen apart in less than one hour, Dan was crying somewhere, probably blaming himself for everything, Phil’s dad had been so close to hit someone or something, and his mom had been crying, but worst of all, he had to return to that life he’d been living before and be apart from Dan.

Phil knew that he and Dan wouldn’t have a long time together, if they were lucky they’d have one day after Phil got out of the hospital, one day before he’d have to move away, of course they would still have some time while he was at the hospital, but after that, they’d have to separate, Phil had so much he still wanted to experience with Dan, but it didn’t seem like his dreams would ever be fulfilled.
