Na... can't be Mute Swans.  It is all frozen like the Canadian Arctic. 

Nice shot none the less.  I wish we had more swans out here in Alberta.

Yes, they ARE Mute Swans, believe it or not.  This winter is an unusual one for Southern Ontario.  We have gotten scads more snow then we usually do, however, other then the ice storm and two Arctic fronts that came down, our temperatures have been pretty normal for this time of year.  There hasn't been a reason for them to leave.  Plus, someone feeds them every day, as per usual.  I lived in Edmonton for 20 years, and no, swans would not hang around during the winter - way to extreme for them.  Here the Canadian geese and other ducks also hang around all winter.  They have their favourite winter hang outs which they always go to.

I was going to go out there again today around sunset, but that Arctic Vortex is back and our temperatures have dropped once again!  Tooooooo cold!  lol Beautiful birds, yes, but not very majestic when I was there.  They came across some corn that someone had put out for them and started to bite each other over them!  Hahahahaha  Talk about swan bullies!!

The arctic vortex is winding down, but now we're in the middle of a snowstorm.  There have been huge accidents all over, including a multi-car and semitruck accident on the 401.  The 401 is now closed down.
