"I will break that finger if you touch me with it one more time." He grunted.

She crossed her arms under her breasts which inadvertently caused the boy's brain to misfire. "Just... knock it off. Whatever Dick told you to stop doing, start it up again."

He stared at her, fortunately managing to keep his incredulous gaze above her neckline. "You want me to..." He pointed at her, "Fine. You get to explain to Grayson that this is entirely your idea."

Her own gaze was steely. "Fine. Just... go do... whatever it is."

He sighed and shook his head. "Fine." He opened the cutlery drawer and pulled out a half dozen steak knives."Where is the lunatic?"

"The kennel for the hyenas." She said shakily, "Uh... what're you going to do with those?"

"Precisely what you asked me to do." He said evenly, turning to begin a stalk out of the kitchen.

It was at that moment that Harley, now fully dressed, absent-mindedly walked back into the kitchen, "I can't believe I forgot the steak!" She muttered to herself.

"Ah." Damian said. "Perfect."

"What are you--" Steph began to ask, just as Damian began flinging the knives at Harley.

Harley's reflexes kicked in moments before the first knife would have embedded itself into her neck and she blurred, weaving and dodging between the blades, which ended up embeded in the wood paneling behind her.

Damian stood defiantly, his arms still poised from the throws.

Harley looked at Damian for a long moment before a bright, happy grin burst onto her face.

No one had a chance to react as she suddenly flipped forward, crossing the room in a fraction of a second, and snatching Damian up in a fierce hug and swinging him around in her arms. His face buried into her cleavage as she cooed happily, "Aw! You do care!"

"Unhand me you crazed--" Came his indignant and muffled replies.

"What just--?"
Steph started to ask, but then stopped realizing belatedly that this was what Harley thought of as a display of affection.

A murder attempt.

Considering who she used to date, it made a sort of warped sense.

Harley stopped spinning around and smooshed the boy's face deeper into her chest before turning to face Steph, "You talked to him! Oooh! You're the bestest Steph ever!" She kept a firm hold of Damian with one hand, and snaked the other out to snatch Steph by the neck and pull her into the smothering group hug.

Damian's complaints actually ceased as he felt Steph pressing against him as well.

Steph managed to mutter out, "Um... glad I could... help?"

Alfred stepped into the kitchen, noted the entire scene, and decided that matters would best be served if he returned later. After the lovefest was done.

Harley is no longer in the dumps, Damian is strangely quiet just now and Steph is happy that Harley is...
Happy ... she thinks...

Alfred merely turns around and waits for the hug fest to desist so that he can prepare breakfast....
