Description
lexlothor.deviantart.com/galle…
It is not uncommon to find individual fossil crustaceans in Neogene marine deposits along the coasts of the Pacific Northwest. These two crabs of the species Portunites triangulum were discovered together in the same nodule. Each specimen is about 10 cm in width. They are of Late Oligocene age from the Lincoln Creek Formation. They are now in the paleontology collection of the Burke Museum at the University of Washington in Seattle.
