The Laurentiun Reaches have fallen under the boot heal of the Do’Kichad Ko’Ran (Ko'Ran Duchies in the common form). The Do'Ichad Ko'Ran have established a protectorate government over the Laurentiun Reaches, which in reality acts as a puppet government, and a bureaucratic instrument to support the Duchies' efforts to eliminated and subsume the Reaches. As each nation or group of people has a flag, so too does the Protectorate of the Laurentiun Reaches, illustrated above.

As the years have come and gone, the level of resistance against the Duchies from the people of the Laurentiun Reaches has wanned, and in some regions, wanned alarmingly. Yet not all have given up, not all have rolled over and let the invaders take control. There is still a visage of rebellious spirit amongst the people of the Reaches. All needs doing is someone with enough gumption to light a spark and fan the flame.

For those still breathing the airs of freedom, for those who still have the blood of the brave flowing through their veins, the above flag is a vile and abhorrent symbol, a constant reminder of the tyranny of the Do'Kichad Ko'Ran, and worthless scum of their fellow countrymen who have submitted to the rule of these barbarians--or worse yet, those who have openly and intentionally decided to join with the invaders. It is these last peoples - of which a sizable minority of the population adheres to - who govern the Laurentiun Reaches at the behest and under the 'tutelage' and 'guidance' of the Do'Kichad Ko'Ran.

There are several detestable elements to this flag. Perhaps the worst is the re-imagined symbology of the three origin peoples--represented by the segmented triangle. The five glyphs, which are similar to those found on the Duchies' flag, represents the adherence (or forced adherence, or tyrannical enforcement) of the three primary tenants of the Canons of Salishok and the two tenants of the Rule of Akinojan. The central glyph represents the high religious orders of the Ko'Ran Duchies--enforced upon a population who has never accepted nor desired to know the religious tenants, teachings or disciplines enforced by the Canons or Rule. it is said much rebellion could have been spared had the Duchies not slathered their religious iconography all over the Protectorate's flag, yet perhaps the Duchies were not opposed to putting down such rebellions, for they seem to do so with a vim and vengeance little known in modern times.
