"You used to be more careful of your things," the teacher remarked, humor shining in his orange eyes. "Perhaps next time, you will remember to remove your socks before leaping from windows."
Golden eyes narrowed accusingly. "Perhaps next time, you will remember to remove your boots before crossing a threshold."

No matter how old we get, the little kid in us comes out when we least expect it.
Maybe that's why the boys(Inuyasha/Kouga/ect.) are so immature.

My nephew is 12 and HE says the boys are childish, so maybe 5?
Shippo is, what, 7-8 years old in human. He's more mature than InuYasha. Although, do we count the years pinned to the tree or not because that might make Shippo the eldest.
As for Kouga, he ain't got no excuse. He's childish no two ways about that.

About Shippo, I think he's 6-ish by the sound of forth's story; he says little Sess is "just a little older than me." Maybe?
I definitely agree: Kouga has NO excuse. He's the leader of a pack/tribe, for pete's sake! You'd think he'd be a little more mature.
