I made this on opencanvas last night. Well, everything except the border, which I added on photoshop.Just a quick sketch and color....maybe an hour.
Hey, is it just me? I had no idea I could get cool flame effects like that on openCanvas! I was just playing and found a nifty way to do it.
This is my new icon for the new forum which is a part of the new club....which is soooo new that it's still not released publicly.
We have chosen staff now, we do have a large portion of the forum and DA part of the club built.
I don't have an exact release date, but it should be soon.
Sorry I haven't been posting much detailed art lately, but I've been hard at work on all kinds of stuff for the club.

XD Hand models are cool. I wanted one of those. There are some hand poses that you can't see with your own hands. ...and I tend to use my own hands as models for guy hands and they probably look way too girly.

XD That would make them hard to deal with. I just need to put a mirror in my office, then I can use my own hand to reference most all hand positions.

You MUST practice your speedpainting.
Just literally, practice painting as fast as you can on OC.
I want you to participate in the speedpainting competition.
If we can get everything for the club up and ready to run by this weekend, maybe we could open and kick it off with a speedpainting competition the night of the 14th and 15th.
We don't have to have the forum characters cast by then since this is more of a chatterbox event.

Whenever I make things shiny, i just choose the colours to make it shiny XD

I'm not good at super shinyness or glowyness like this. It's really easy to get this effect though.
On top of all your multiply layers, just make an add layer...then color on it with bright colors over the top of your other coloring. You get really cool effects.
