Wow... If only the light was more dramatic, and if the perspective was a little more horizontal (lower to the ground, more on the level of the objects), this would absolutely fantastic. Do you live near the ocean, can you go back? That would be an awesome shot with the shadows and the glistening and all. I'm fascinated by natural processes like this.

Nope. I was visting. I grew up by the sea, I miss it.

I'm glad you like it. I'd have to wear something different, I think, if I wanted try it again. I would have gotten more than a little sandy. (I still did, I'm afraid, but I tried not to. )

I definitely don't consider myself a good photographer, by any means. I've never taken a class or made anything resembling a study of it, but I think taking pictures helps keep one's eyes open, a good thing for a poet to do.

There's no escaping the sand by the ocean, it's just a part of being there!

I know a lot of photographer-poets, actually, and I'm still trying to figure out the connection. I think a lot of us (photographers) try to put our words into images, but I don't know if we do it any more than artists of other mediums. I agree that it keeps your eyes open. It's incredible, really
