I had a hard time finding these illustrated versions of "Loss"; but it was worth the search. The story is heartbreaking, the illos are beautifully sad. Thanks to both of you for your efforts.

I'm sorry it was hard to find but glad you liked it. Β I didn't write the story , that was the wonderful SpockLikesCats,(www.fanfiction.net/u/2061512/Sβ¦ I just did the pic. Β The pic came first and SLC wrote the story as a response so we decided to present it as an illustrated story.Β

This is such a beautiful story and it's a shame this is not getting the attention it wholly deserves. The art is very tender and sweet and the story itself is wonderfully heartbreaking. I like the layout and think it works well with the story--it looks great and wouldn't have known this was an experimental attempt had you not mentioned it!
That said, have you considered putting this on archiveofourown? You wouldn't be able to have the magazine layout but you'd be able to include the image with the story. I think you'd get a very positive response from readers, this is really so sweet.

Thanks for the lovely comment,a and the suggestion. I've found the only thing that gets less response than fanfic is fan art! combine the two and you are definitely not going to get much response! Go figure. Once again i thank you for being one of the generous few who comment.
