One of the best pictures. Go to Morgan Christine's Gargoyles Gallery and you'll see one that shows how far they could've taken it.

This has got to be the best picture to one of my favorite pairings of all time! Well done here!

I do love me my Brooklyn/Angela pairing They just seem right together, I know that's what I was hoping for before the show ended...thank god that the Goliath Chronicles isn't canon XD Because Broadway/Angela was just...meh :/ Mostly because it wasn't developed and the two of them were just thrown together. I wouldn't be opposed to that pairing if it had actually been worked on and had some development, but just throwing them together without any seeming rhyme, reason, or development, ...I much prefer Brooklyn.

Broadway's relation with her was just thrown in there with no build up at all. She spent more time and development with Brooklyn and it was quite clear they had feelings for each other requited. I do hope the creators of both the GC and the comics did not intentionally do what they did to tick us off.

Well, trying to look at it objectively, I feel like Broadway and Brooklyn had just about as much build-up to pairing off with Angela as each other. I feel like where the original series ended, it could have easily gone either way. Though naturally as Brooklyn/Angela shipper I definitely feel like they had a strong connection and that their build-up (while equal in proportion and amount to Broadway's) was a lot stronger. I think if the two had been switched and it was Brooklyn "randomly" hooking up with Angela at the very beginning of the GC or the comics, I'd still wind up feeling like it was out of the blue and kind of random, and I would point that out as a flaw still, but it wouldn't bug me or be a massive thorn in my side like with Broadway/Angela.
And nah, I don't think they did it to piss anyone off or make them mad, Weissman said in answer to one of the questions on his blog that he'd been planning to have Broadway and Angela wind up together since the episode where the Trio had been competing over her, I think he (and the other writers) just got lazy and simply didn't write it well. The Broadway/Angela pairing would never be my cup of tea or a pairing I'd be a fan of, but if they had actually written it well and given them proper development, I wouldn't have hated it, I'd just simply ignore it like I do with just about every other pairing I don't like >_>

Interesting outlook on that. Thank you for clarifying things for me on this. You are right of the end of series (season 2) left things ambiguous, but I would still like to think things were a little more in Brooklyn's favor.

Oh I definitely feel like things were portrayed more in Brooklyn's favor, which was why I said that the development and chemistry between him and Angela felt a lot a stronger and more concrete. Even if Brooklyn and Broadway had the same amount of development with Angela, I definitely think that Brooklyn's was a lot stronger and felt much more like it was going somewhere romantically. That's also one of the reasons why I think that Broadway/Angela was poorly written and developed, if the writers were intending all along to put Broadway and Angela together, they did an absolutely horrid job at showing it, because an awful darn LOT of fans were actively shipping Brooklyn and Angela based on what the show had been depicting, or they were left confused over Angela and Broadway getting together because (even though they weren't shippers or all that interested in who wound up with who) they had thought the show was going in the direction of putting Brooklyn and Angela together....I've always thought that if your writing leaves a large portion of your audience confused (and not in a good way), then you're doing something wrong and something about your writing needs fixing.

You got that right, bud. Those writers just did not know what they were doing and probaly did not care about the opinion of the fans. Brooklyn's excanches with Angela were more passioned than Broadway's and I feel it made more sense since they were more alike personality wise with their serious, yet excitable personaities and their equal devotion to Goliath.

Mhm, I mean, ultimately I don't think the writers are beholden to the fans on anything, but still, even if that's the ultimate fact of the matter, in practice all the reactions or likes and dislikes of the fanbase should be taken into account and fully considered. I feel like the stuff catering directly to the fans and their wants and such should only directly be ignored when it would cause the story to suffer.

And I completely agree, I feel like Brooklyn and Angela are the best matches for each other out of the main characters for all the right reasons. They're certainly alike enough in personality where it counts (which always a somewhat important part of any relationship I think), but they're also different enough in all the right ways as to actually be compatible.

There is also the fact of their loyalty and deviotion to Goliath as much as it would be to each other. The writers should have considered how the fans felt with all the build up.

Mhm, that's definitely one factor. After the reception that the first episode of the Goliath Chronicles received, you would think they'd have taken it into consideration that for a lot of fans it would drive them away...

Yeah, but apparently the creators did not or they didn't care.

You have done some beautiful drawings as well kheetor84, my favorite one of yours is to the alternate timeline you created to Timedancers where Angela goes with Brooklyn on the dance and they end up becoming mates. Too bad you stopped doing pictures of that it was a great creative idea.
