In the end, I decided to keep Wellington Wales. Kinda suiting
More detail on the BG and added a little foreground too.
It all takes place in an alternate 1948 after their own great war came to an end. Curses and the loch-ness monsters are not myths or superstitions there. Sacred grounds really are sacred and magic really did used to exist.
Lord Wales is from a respected and highly regarded aristocratic family. While space is being considered the new goal for humanity with the advent of rocketships, he resumed his work as an explorer showing the world that exploration isnt just amongst the stars.
Experience, however, taught him to be prepared for anything. Be it a living sarcophagus or a possessed statue, his trusty Dustinator Mark IV never leave his side.
While not a unique weapon in any way (for that time) he uses compounds different than the specifics to give it that extra punch to dispell whatever animates the guards or the obstacles that stand in the way of science, wisdom and discovery.

Nope, no laser whip. But considering the timeframe, he could be Indy's elder by 10 years or so. Still, he is an explorer.. one that has a goal and a motive that goes beyond putting stuff in a museum. Kinda Henry Sr with his quest for the Holy Grail except his isnt one that was in a book.

Looking absolutely amazing here, and I only thought of indy due to the logo/people mentioning it here.
I love how you did his flashlight, it tricked me into thinking I was looking directly at the sun.
His left boot (Viewers right tra-lah) might need some work, as it doesn't quite look...Sharp. And the corner in the back of the background needs some work, as it just doesn't look like a corner unless you've seen the top of it fist.
Overall though, damn great work.

Sort of reminds me of a blend between space marines and Cal Jerico of the WH40K universe and Indiana Jones.

Well, can't blame them for the Indy part. Ofcourse it looks like a techno Indy, my impression came from my own indy hat just lying around on a hat rack I have...
If you have any knowlege of the older GW models and the WH40K universe, I feel the "gloved" hand, if you would call it that, is very similar to the gloved blaster/shooter/rocket/flamer glove of one of the old Spyrer models from the GW necromunda range.
No, I really liked this one, how tecky or how Indy it might be.
